Episode 27- Aired Monday 18th December 2017

As Christmas day approaches, the President of the Downtown Owners and Merchants Association, Gregory Aboud, delves into problems affecting commerce in Port of Spain, and unveils his wishlist for the nation’s capital in 2018.

We meet enterprising young women, Aneka Danclair-George, a qualified architect, who, in 2011, created the now-widely-distributed Amara Organics, and Kristle Gangadeen, moved by a friend’s special blend, to launch the local traditional Christmas drink, ‘Ponche-de-Creme’, under the Grandpa’s label. They tell about moving from employee to employer, the need to stay focused, and plans to go regional and international.

Economist, Indira Sagewan-Ali, reflects on a challenging 2017 for Trinidad & Tobago, and suggests how government can begin changing and improving the country’s fortunes.
