The President of the Co-operative Credit Union League, Joseph Remy, identifies the major challenges facing a movement with some 500,000 members and 13 Billion dollars in assets. Strained relations with the Financial Intelligence Unit and impending framework legislation, apart, he points to a lack of greater involvement by young people.
Then, Vivek Charran, and Nalini Maharaj, of the Greater Tunapuna Chamber of Commerce, identify the little things that greatly impact commercial activity in their districts, and call for a greater synergy between Local and Central Government.
