The Integrity Commission heads to court to make public officials declare assets

T-T-Integrity-CommissionThe Integrity Commission is today planning to take public officials to court for not filing declarations of income, assets and liabilities for the period 2003-2014.

In a statement the commissions says it is the intention to make an application to the High Court for an order directing such persons to

comply in accordance with Section 11(7) of the Integrity in Public Life Act.

It says based on the act a person who fails to comply with the directions of the Court, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of $150,000.
