The mask bill ( Public Health (Amendment) Bill, 2020 )has been passed in the Lower House and now goes to the Senate.

The applicable fines are One thousand dollars ( $1,000) if caught not wearing masks in public. Two thousand dollars ($2,000) on the second offense and three thousand dollars $3,000 on the offense.

The bill was presented in the parliament today as Trinidad and Tobago has recorded 19 deaths owed to Covid-19.
