The Opposition Leader says the parliament is not operating at full speed

The Opposition Leader is predicting that the Attorney General’s aim to pass 43 pieces of legislation in the parliament, will not happen.

Speaking at the UNC Monday Night Forum at the Naparima Boys College last evening, Kamla Persad-Bissessar highlighted that the

parliament is not running with the momentum that one would think it should.

The former Prime Minister chastised the government, saying they were dodging serious issues.

Meanwhile, on another issue, the Siparia Member of Parliament last evening revealed that the Opposition has written to the Police

Commissioner to enquire as to whether the Attorney General has breached the law. The matter in question is the Vindra Naipaul

-Coolman murder case.
