The Postal Workers Union is reporting that from feedback received most workers turned out for duty today.

For two straight days last week the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation said it was affected by a  high level of absenteeism.

PWU confirmed that workers had engaged in sick -out action following repeated assurances about their payment of back pay.

It also defended the action claiming that nothing was intentionally done to disrupt the service.

Postal Workers Union President, David Forbes, in a News Power Now interview this afternoon revealed that the majority of staff turned up for work.
