Opposition Leader, Dr. Keith Rowley in the lead -up to the 2015 General Elections says the Prime Minister’s vision for a suspension bridge from Toco in Trinidad to the sister isle in Tobago, is foolishness and just cannot work.
Speaking at a PNM meeting at Harris Promenade, San Fernando last night Dr. Rowley told his audience that the People’s National Movement’s vision is to construct an adequate roadway to Toco to reach port and ferryboat facilities.
Dr. Rowley went on to say that the job of building a suspension bridge connecting the two land masses will be highly impossible as the waters between the countries are too deep.

Speaking at that same meeting, PNM candidate for Caroni/ Central, Avinash Singh in addressing concerns of Farmers gave the assurance to deliver a sense of sexiness and pride to farming.
The farmer and aspiring politician said Trinidad and Tobago’s food import bill currently stands at over 4 billion dollars despite a promise that the bill would have been decreased by 50%.
He said the PNM plans on encouraging young people to become a part of the agriculture sector, much like they are encouraged into other prominent professions.
