The PSA says no strike at WASA but workers health and safety must be addressed.

WASAThe Public Services Association is today saying that there is no strike or shutdown taking place at WASA.

There were several reports this morning that at least 75 percent of water treatment plants in this country were shut down last night, by disgruntled workers.

However speaking at a news conference a short while ago, PSA President Watson Duke said, what is being reported is not entirely accurate.

But in the same breath, Mr. Duke said workers are upset over health and safety issues, which they feel are not being treated with as a matter of importance.

The PSA President is hoping for a favorable outcome after meeting with WASA management today.
