The Political Leader of the Movement for Social Justice calls on government to reverse its decision to suspend Opposition Leader, Dr. Keith Rowley from the rest of the parliamentary session.
David Abdullah, speaking at a news briefing this afternoon, organised by the Round Table of civil organizations, said Dr. Rowley was not given the chance to properly defend himself before the Privileges Committee of Parliament.
He said the development interferes with the course of natural justice and due process of law.
Mr. Abdullah said one of the recommendations agreed upon by the Round Table was that the decision taken by the government with its majority in the parliament, should be revisited.
