A third man has appeared before the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court today, for making threats against the life of the Commissioner of Police.
33- year- old Kenyon Lewis of Singh Trace, El Socorro, was charged with misuse of a telephone and appeared before Magistrate Sanara Toon, at the Port of Spain 3rd Magistrates’ Court, today.
He was remanded into custody at the St. Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital.
On Friday, November 23rdat 3:30am an E999 operator at the Command Centre received a call in which the man threatened the Commissioner’s life.
An investigation was launched and resulted in Lewis’ arrest at a bar, near his home later that day.
The charge was laid by Sergeant Williams, of the Port of Spain Criminal Investigations Department.
Lewis was transferred to the St. Ann’s Hospital, pending evaluation.
The matter has been adjourned to Wednesday.
