A 13 year old student of a Secondary school in Marabella has been detained by police after he allegedly attacked a male school teacher, attempting to rob him of his Invicta wrist watch valued at over $7000.
According to police reports the teenager held on to the school teacher’s left hand and began grabbing the watch and telling the teacher to hand it over.
Moments before the attack, as the teacher conducted examinations at around 9:30am, the boy was among three pupils who asked to leave the classroom. He had been granted permission, however upon returning, he made his move to rob the teacher of the item.
The teacher told police that the boy had placed his right hand in his waist during the attack, as if to pull out a weapon, saying that he had no fear for the police.
The school’s SRP was alerted to the situation and the boy’s mother was later summoned to the police station where the teen had been taken. When she arrived, the single parent told officers that the boy is violent and uncontrollable. She also told officers that the boy beats her and she needs help.
Sources say several students from the said school have been suspended over the years for violent behaviour , but reports state when they return they are even more violent and uncontrollable.
