Three suspects are presently in police custody after they were arrested yesterday, ten minutes after a daylight robbery.

Police reports indicate that shortly after 4:10 pm yesterday the victims, Lorena Barran of Farah St. San Fernando and Adelene Chatorie of Barrackpore were on Knox St, San Fernando when a vehicle pulled up next to them.

Two men alighted and proceeded to rob the victims of their Gucci hand bags, valued $3,000, Michael Kors valued at $3,200, over $12,000 cash, a Samsung S 6 phone together with other valuable and personal I. D ‘s.

The men then escaped in a waiting Nissan Tida motor vehicle license plate PCX 9962.

A report was made to the San Fernando police and an extensive search was carried out.

 

Police spotted the getaway car on the San Fernando Bye Pass and intercepted the vehicle. Three suspects were arrested, two males and a female.

The males were said to be a 30-year-old of Ackal Rd, San Juan and a 40 year old of Upper Ave, Barataia and the female a 33 year old of Ramkisson Tr. Santa Cruz.

Police searched the vehicle and found one black and silver colt revolver with four rounds of special ammunition.

All of the stolen property was found inside the vehicle. The officers received special commendation from their seniors.

Criminals have been warned to stay away from the Southern Division as they have a well organized crime plan in place.
