The Joint Consultative Council for the Construction Industry (JCC) will be holding a seminar on Public Procurement Reform to discuss legislation that was recently laid in the House of Representatives.
The call for more robust Public Procurement Legislation has returned to the fore following recent allegations of corruption against key public figures.
Last Wednesday Minister of Planning and Sustainable Development, Bhoe Tewarie, laid the bill in Parliament.
JCC President Afra Raymond says the bill has been long time coming.
But Mr. Raymond says the three weeks of consultation given for such important legislation is not enough time.
