TOBAGO GETS ITS CHANCE TO HONOR ROBINSON

NEWS GRAPHIC 8The body of former President and Prime Minister Arthur Napolean Raymond Robinson will return “home” today to the place of his birth, Tobago.

His body will lie in state for public viewing at the Assembly Legislature Chamber on Jerningham Street in Scarborough between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Public viewing will, however, end at 5.45 p.m.

He will be interred tomorrow at 3.30 p.m. at the Methodist Cemetery in Bacolet.

A State Ecumenical Service will follow tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet.

The final procession and interment will take place from the Coast Guard Base at Milford Road along the Milford Road Esplanade to the Methodist Cemetery in Bacolet.

The 3.30 p.m. interment will be followed with the traditional 21-gun salute between 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.
