Tobago prices reportedly increasing following transport woes

The Tobago Division of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce says it has received feedback that prices on some items on the island have increased.

It attributes this development to the level of unpredictability in sea transportation between Port of Spain and Scarborough.

President of the organization, Demi John Cruickshank, in a News Power Now interview this afternoon warned that prices will continue to go up if reliability does not return to the system.

He confirmed that on Friday the group met with officials of the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and it is hoped that commitments given at that meeting will materialize.
