The Tobago House of Assembly (THA) has boasted of its past rate in this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education of Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE).
Secretary for Education Huey Cadette revealed the statics at the THA’s weekly media briefing.
Some 900 students were registered to take the exam this year.
Mr. Cadet announced that 35.1 percent of males received full certificates which were a 10 percent increase from 2010.
The CAPE results saw an increase in the female past rate, however, the male decreased, but that did not affect the islands overall performance.
Some of the islands top schools were Goodwood High School, Speyside High School and Signal Hill Secondary School.
