Tobago is experiencing high occupancy levels at hotels and guest houses across the island at this time.
President of the Tobago Hoteliers Association, Carol-Ann Birchwood James in an interview with News Power Now this afternoon, said the island’s hotels are all booked up.
Mrs. Birchwood James expressed, with enthusiasm, the heightened domestic tourist arrivals ahead of former National Footballer Dwight Yorke’s annual carnival cool down fete being held this Saturday at the Pigeon Point beach facility.
Mrs. Birchwood James noted that this period, considered the Winter period usually sees increased tourist arrivals and together with post carnival arrivals, the island is experiencing a very good tourism season.
This weekend, Tobago will also host goat racing activities, another entertainment feature for visitors to the sister isle.
