Tobago’s self-Government to be brought up when the Prime Minister meets with the Chief Secretary

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Chief Secretary Orville London are carded to hold their second meeting in as many months today, following a Cabint meeting.

The Prime Minister and her ministers are meeting in Tobago as part of a three day retreat.

Chief Secretary London revealed that the administration of the island will be first subject on the agenda.

He added that what he termed the incursion on the THA’s authority by the Ministry of Tobago Development is another item that will be discussed.

The meeting between Assembly’s Executive Council and Prime Minister Persad-Bissessar is expected to last one hour and thirty minutes at the Magdalena Grand Beach Resort.
