2019 is the timeline being given by the government for the start of construction for the Toco Port.

Works and Transport Minister, Rohan Sinanan, revealed in the Senate this week that tendering for the project has not been completed.

He noted that he is not in position to give a final cost related to the development since there are still ground work to be done relating to

Minister Sinanan said in 1988 a feasibility study was done into the project which was eventually completed in 1990.
