As the United States continues their protest for justice in the death of George Floyd while in police custody, there is an assurance by the Commissioner of Police that his officers are well trained to avoid such a situation here in Trinidad and Tobago.

Commissioner Griffith says that while the 10,000 police officers under his command are not perfect, they are well trained to apprehend a civilian and not cause loss of life.

Speaking on Thursday, Commissioner Griffith said any comparisons to be made between this country and Minneopolis had more to do with the murder rate.

He assured that the TTPS is not the enemy in Trinidad and Tobago.
