Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith says he will continue to speak out on the shortcomings in the system, which may affect his Police Force in the fight against crime.
Commissioner Griffith was recently criticized by several members of the judicial system for his comments regarding the granting of bail to alleged gun offenders and his claims that there are attorneys involved in criminal activity.
Speaking on CNC3 on Tuesday morning, Commissioner Griffith said he has the utmost respect for the judicial system. However, he pointed out that just like any other country, there will be flaws, and he noted that it is the role of a modern police chief to bring awareness to issues, which affect the ability to successfully fight crime.
The Top Cop also chastised the Law Association for its criticism of his comments, saying the facts indicate that there is validity to his comments.
