Tourism Minister, Rupert Griffith, is assuring disgruntled lifeguards and maintenance workers at Maracas and Las Cuevas beach facilities their concerns will be addressed.

On Thursday the workers protested in front of the Tourism Ministry in Port of Spain about poor conditions and dilapidated facilities.

Minister Rupert who is scheduled to meet this afternoon with officials of the National Union of Government and Federated Workers which represents the lifeguards said their problems will not be sidelined.

NUGFW President General, James Lambert, complained the beach workers have been facing these challenges since previous Tourism Minister, Joseph Ross, was in office.

He also said the problem was not former Minister Tourism Ross or with current Minister, Rupert Griffith , but with the Permanent Secretary, Melba Dedier.
