Trade unions are closely monitoring the restructuring of the Water and Sewage Authority.

Last week, at the post cabinet news briefing, Public Utilities Minister, Emmanuel George, revealed that a Ugandan company had been hired to review the utility’s operations and admitted that the enterprise was overstaffed.

Speaking on the matter, Public Services Association President, Watson Duke, said his union was keeping a close watch on this situation.

National Union of Government and Federated Workers President, James Lambert, also expressed concern on the matter and called for proper dialogue throughout the process.
