Police Commissioner, Dwayne Gibbs, has place strict restrictions in the capital city.
The opening ceremony is expected to take place from 1:30pm in the parliament chamber of the Red House located on Abercromby Street.
According to a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service wrecking of illegally parked vehicles has commenced….as well as from today, Monday June 27th there will be no parking between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm on a number of streets including;
Sackville street, between Richmond street and St. Vincent street;
Abercromby street, between Queen street and Keate street;
Keate street, between Charlotte street and Frederick street;
And….Frederick street, between Keate street and Hart street;
Vehicular traffic will also be prohibited between the hours of 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m on
abercromby street, between queen street and duke street;
knox street….and hart street…..among others….
