The Transport Minister has admitted that contingency transportation measures would have been near impossible, given yesterday’s total shut down of the country by police officers in what they termed a total day of policing in both Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister Stephen Cadiz spoke with News Power Now this morning and admitted that there was very little that could have been done yesterday.
He said this now raises questions as to how T&T would fare, should a natural disaster strike.
The Transport Minister said yesterday’s situation brought into focus the fact that more needs to be done in structuring an evacuation plan for the capital city.
