Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation funds were used to host United National Congress events.
This was revealed by TTFF’s president Mr. Raymond Tim Kee.
Recently there has been speculation as to whether Jack Warner in his capacity as FIFA vice president had funded the 2010 campaign of the united national congress.
However this claim has since been denied by Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar.
But speaking on the power breakfast show on power 102.1fm this morning Mr. Tim Kee said when he took over, he found invoices that dealt with events that were not connected to TTFF.
Mr. Tim Kee also addressed the issue of monies to be paid to the footballers who participated in the 2006 world cup in Germany.
He said the TTFF has paid out almost 2 million U.S dollars to the players but the issue still remains unsettled.
Mr. Tim Kee said he believed the players should have been paid so he made all effort to honour the claim.
but responding to Mr. Tim Kee, Sports Minister Brent Sancho said although the government paid monies to the footballers in the exact sum of what was owed to them, he believes the TTFF still has an obligation to paying the footballers.
He insists the two issues are unrelated.
