Earlier reports highlighted a number of nationals leaving the country to pick up arms in Syria and other Islamic states to fight side by side with the Islamic State and militant group ISIS, some of who have already died while in the line of fire.

Efforts to find a main reason as to why our young men would want to live such a life, was discussed with Criminologist Dennis Brown on the Keeping it Real show on Power 102.1 fm this morning.

Brown said ISIS and its members are highly influential and are polished in such a way that young adults will be attracted to join its movement.

Brown went on to advise that the only way to save our nationals would be to engage them and communicate with them as to why, when and where.
