There is news today that more than 70 Trinidad and Tobago nationals are stranded aboard a cruise ship that is docked just outside of Guadeloupe. Many of those aboard are elderly and are said to be suffering with hypertension and other ailments.
News Power Digital understands that many nationals of other countries who were aboard the ship, have been allowed to disembark however a charter flight that had been arranged by the cruise liner to bring the T&T nationals home, has made the decision not to, having been told by local airport authorities that their crew would have to be quarantined here for 14 days.
Two persons aboard the ship are said to have tested positive for COVID-19. Reports indicate that the stranded Trinidad and Tobago nationals aboard the ship were told that they had until 12noon today, to disembark.
