by | Aug 13, 2014

netballThe Trinidad and Tobago Netball Association continues to go about its business seemingly quietly with its public relations arm not always readily available for comment.

The Association has not commented on the national team’s performance at the recently concluded Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland in which Trinidad and Tobago finished 10th of the 12 competing nations.

After winning their opening match 38-37 against Caribbean rivals Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago suffered defeats in their five other matches, all against higher-rated teams.

Beaten semifinalists England won 70-24 against TT in the preliminary round, gold medal winners Australia won 69-34, South Africa triumphed 56-40 and Wales came through 50-31 winners.

In TT’s last match, a playoff to determine the ninth and tenth placed teams, Scotland prevailed 46-28. Barbados meanwhile finished 11th.
