Minister of Works and Transport Jack Warner decision not to resign can be viewed as true Caribbean traditional style of politics.

That’s according to Political Analyst Bishnu Ragoonath.

Mr. Warner is in the international spotlight over allegations of bribery and is being probed by the world governing body for football FIFA.

He has since been temporarily suspended as CONCACAF President FIFA Vice President.

There have been several calls for him to resign, but he has stood his ground claiming the 2 portfolios do not clash.

In an interview with Newspower Authority this afternoon Mr. Ragoonath says in such a setting politicians do not resign voluntarily.

He said this style of politics is opposed to the Westminster model where as soon as accusations are raised the minister resigns immediately.
