The people of Haiti will have another option on their hands when they go to purchase fuel.
This morning Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Haitian President Michel Martelly signed energy agreements at the Hilton Trinidad.
Part of this agreement is for Trinidad and Tobago’s National Petroleum Marketing Company (NP) to construct 9 gas stations on the island.
The cost of the investment is around US$ 30 million dollars.
Haiti’s leader and a number of regional heads are in this country to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who is in this country for the first Japan-CARICOM Summit.
It also marks 50 years of diplomatic relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Japan.
Mr. Abe will leave T&T later today.
