Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Dennis Moses has said that nationals of this country who are now in China can contact the Ministry via an online service called, WeChat.
This is a Chinese multi-purpose messaging service, developed by Tencent, a Chinese Multinational Company operating in social media and other areas of international commerce.
Speaking at a news conference at the Ministry’s offices in St Clair on Tuesday afternoon, Minister Moses said Trinidad and Tobago has an obligation to its nationals and will continue to ensure that citizens are in constant communication with the T&T Embassy to China.
He confirmed that there are two nationals who are located in the epicenter of Wuhan, who he said are in constant contact with the Embassy in Beijing.
Minister Moses said T&T nationals in China can register online with the Ministry.
