The five Trinidad and Tobago nationals held in Venezuela will again appear in court in Venezuela on August 17th. This was revealed to News Power Now this morning, by President of the Islamic Front, Umar Abdullah.
In an interview, Mr. Abdullah explained that there remains a level of uncertainty felt about the situation. He however said it was recently discovered that certain documents must be attained by the authorities in Venezuela for a decision to be made on the way forward as it relates to the T&T nationals.
Mr. Abdullah again called on the government of this country to show more interest in the nationals’ plight, urging them to act swiftly to ensure the safe return of the men who have been in a Venezuela prison since 2014.
