by | Mar 30, 2014

generic_car_crash 1A left arm fast bowler with the Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 cricket Team is the nation’s latest road fatality victim.

Nineteen-year-old Tevin Robertson died when his vehicle crashed into a fence on the Petrotrin compound near Gasparillo early Saturday morning.

Reports indicate that Robertson was heading north along the Solomon Hochoy highway around 5AM, when on reaching near the Gasparillo flyover near Petrotrin, the car crashed head on into the company’s wire fence.

The young cricketer had been staying at a camp in Tunupuna with other members of the Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 cricket team for training.

He left to visit friends over the weekend and was returning when the accident took place.

Robertson represented TT as a member of the Under-19 team in the regional tournament in Barbados last year and at the time of his passing was on the Red Force squad in training for the four-day tournament currently taking place.
