The Trinidad and Tobago police service is teaming up with the Forensic Science Centre, to train more people in analysing ballistics.

The TTPS and the Forensic Science Center have teamed up to launch a Bllistics Analysis Training Program. Persons in the program will go through three months of training. Acting Director of the Forensic Science Center Mr Derrick Sankar says this is urgently needed.

Police Commissioner says there is a backlog of more than 7000 cases at the Forensic Science Center.
This means investigators have to wai t a long time for results.

Minister of National Security Stuart Young says investigators will be able to find out the history behind weapon faster than before.
