Police Commissioner Gary Griffith says an early morning raid at a house on Lady Chancellor in St Ann’s has resulted in the discovery of 22 women believed to be engaged in lewd dancing and prostitution.
He told the Power Breakfast Show that some of the women are believed to be minors despite claiming otherwise. The raid took place shortly around 1 am today at a house in Lady Chancellor Heights.
A firearm and a large quantity of cash were also found.
Commissioner Griffith said the raid was organized after a poster for a party advertised as Secret Sundays began circulating on social media.
The poster advertised the event as a private Latin pool party. It added that the party will be held and a secret location where secret pleasures await.
Commissioner Griffith explained that the women will be processed and some may require counselling or assistance, considering that they may be minors.
Commissioner Griffith noted that this is part of the TTPS’s bigger plan to crack down on the illegal activities that fund crime.
