Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jayson Forde says the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has been prepared to deal with the effects of COVID 19 for some time now.


He said that before Carnival celebrations, before the first case was announced, the TTPS  was preparing to deal with the consequences of the virus in T&T.

He made the coments at the TTPS media briefing on Wednesday. He said even within the TTPS, efforts are being made to ensure the safety of officers.

The Deputy Commissioner said officers have embraced technology in an effort to ensure there is no spread of the disease among its members.
