Non nationals of Trinidad and Tobago will be barred entry into the island from midnight on Tuesday. This announcement has been made by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley as the government makes its best effort to stymie the spread of the COVID-19 contagion that the world is grappling.
There have been over 7,000 deaths from COVID-19 globally, in the past three months. Despite this alarming figure that has caused many to panic, over 78,000 persons have recovered from the virus.
The Prime Minister has said that some persons from CARPHA would be allowed the exception, noting that CARPHA is the only laboratory accredited to confirm cases of COVID-19 and has an office in Federation Park, St. Clair, Trinidad.
