TTUTA CALLS FOR OUTSIDE HELP

The Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association (TTUTA) is calling for the intervention of external bodies to deal with the behavioral issues affecting the nation’s students.

The union’s comments come on the heels of several incidents of school violence and the most recent event involving three teenagers who performed oral sex on a group of male students.

TTUTA President, Devanand Sinanand, says the behavior of some students can be blamed on the environment inhabit. He adds this country’s culture has a part to play in the behavior young person’s exhibit in the classroom.
