The teachers union says commitments have been given by the Education Ministry to address safety and security concerns at the Gasparillo Secondary School.
On Tuesday teachers at the school reportedly walked off the job cited concerns about safety conditions.
Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association President, Devanand Sinanand, in an interview confirmed that challenges at the schools were raised with the Education Ministry officials and the union was assured that efforts will be made to tackle issues highlighted.
Mr. Sinanand said the union is hoping that the Ministry delivers on the promises made adding that the situation will be closely monitored.
