The teachers union is expressing concern about the implementation of the Continuous Assessment Component and the new Primary curriculum by the Education Ministry.
The Ministry is proposing a new curriculum for the primary school level in a number of subject areas.
However, the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association describes as rushed, the approach of the Ministry towards the implementation of the component.
T.T.U.T.A. General Secretary, Peter Wilson, in a News Power Now interview on Friday, made it clear that the union is not opposed to C.A.C.
TTUTA is holding a mass meeting of teachers to discuss the issues on Saturday at the Chaguanas South Secondary School from 10am.
