TTUTA Head Hopes Today’s Demonstration Will Push CPO to Start Wage Negotiations.

by | Oct 1, 2019

President of the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association, Lindsley Doodhai, says the union is hoping that its march in Port of Spain today encourages the Chief Personnel Officer to begin outstanding wage negotiations.

Speaking with reporters, Mr. Doodhai said the demonstration in the Capital City is the effects of repeated attempts by TTUTA to get the collective bargaining process going.

The TTUTA head urged the CPO to meet and treat with the teachers union as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, head of the Joint Trade Union Movement, Ancil Roget, speaking with reporters indicated his support for the teacher’s request.
