Two men appeared in court on Tuesday charged with using obscene language at the Harris Promenade in San Fernando during the People’s Partnership’s presentation of local government election candidates, on Monday evening.
San Fernando City Corporation employee, 49 year old Dexter Oudit of Hubert Rance Street, San Fernando pleaded guilty for the charge, telling the magistrate that he was intoxicated at the time.
34 year old Marlon Richardson of Tarodale also appeared in court to answer the obscene language charge however he pleaded not guilty and was granted $1000 bail. His matter was adjourned to November 12th.
The arrests were made around 9:23 on Monday evening and according to reports, the arresting officer, WPC Hersley had been standing in close proximity to Mr. Oudit and a group of persons when she reported hearing the obscene outburst.
On Tuesday, Oudit said there were others standing in front of him.
He was granted his own bond and will reappear in court on October 12th.
Both men have previous pending matters in the courts for cocaine possession.
