Two people found burnt beyond recognition in Fyzabad.

Two burnt bodies have been discovered in the Fyzabad area. Reports are that Fyzabad police received an anonymous call alerting them to a fire at Sumdamah Trace at around 7 o’clock last evening.

On arrival, the officers contacted the fire services and the blaze was extinguished. The two bodies were subsequently discovered burnt beyond recognition. The vehicle has been described as an Isuzu panel van while the identities are yet to be confirmed, police believe they may be those of 38 year old Ardia Melissa Clarke and her husband 45 year old Peter Marchan of Robert Hill Siparia.

The couple are said to have separated one year ago, however Clarke was said to have been a frequent visitor to her estranged husband.

They were both reported missing. Police are unsure as to whether the deaths can be classified as murder or suicide.

Peter’s body was found behind the steering wheel and his wife had been seated in the front passenger seat.

DNA samples will be sent to the Forensic Sciences Centre for testing.
