A probe will be launched into an alleged effort by the United National Congress, to spy on this country’s citizens. The matter, which Minister of National Security Stuart Young, said concerns the government, greatly, was highlighted yesterday by the Minister.
The information attained has been brought to light in Christopher Wylie’s book which explains how the UNC sanctioned a breach of citizens privacy. He National Security Minister says he is alarmed at how the information was used by a political party and not the State.
Minister Young accused the the UNC of using the nationals of this country as guinea pigs, saying what was sanctioned by the political party was the worst type of intrusion into privacy.
The Minister said the divisiveness of the Cambridge Analytica, the firm hired by the UNC, was a clear abuse of citizens rights and privacy by the UNC. As a direct result of the this, an investigation will be launched into the matter.
