UPDATE: Lyndira Oudit leaves UNC….resigns as Government Senator…

Lyndira OuditLyndira Oudit  has resigned as a Government Senator and from the United National Congress.

The Former Vice-President of the Senate told News Power Now she tendered her resignation to the UNC’s General Secretary, Dave Tancoo.

Ms. Oudit joined the UNC in 2010.

She said she tendered her resignation yesterday due to the fact that the party, UNC, has changed it 2010 philosophy.

There were speculations that Ms. Oudit’s decision to resign had a lot to do with an announcement that Prime Minister, Kamla Persad-Bissessar would be restructuring her cabinet.

Asked to comment Ms. Oudit said this was not the case.

Meantime, she has not ruled out joining Jack Warner’s Independent Liberal Party…stating that she would not make any rush decisions.
