Water scheduling continues as the utility provider reports a deficit

NEWS GRAPHIC 6Even though the rainy season officially began on May 19 the Met Office has reported that there has been a rainfall deficit of 34 percent.

Head of WASA’s Corporate Communications Ellen Lewis revealed that due to the situation the Company has had to revisit its water management plan for 2014.

Ms Lewis stated that yesterday the company published its revised water supply schedule which is in effect in several parts of Trinidad.

She disclosed that the company would better be able to manage its available water supply until there is an improvement in the rainfall.

Tobago received a new schedule published on April 13, and this remains the same.

Ms. Lewis has Implored customers to be responsible with their water supply.

Customers can visit the authority’s website to view the new water schedule at www.wasa.gov.tt , the company’s Facebook page or the newspapers.

Ms Lewis made the comments during WASA’s family day at held at WASA’s St. Joseph grounds.
