President of the Public Services Association, Watson Duke, is claiming that threats have been made on his life.
Mr. Duke told reporters today that around 1:50am on Sunday his wife got a call on her cell phone from a receptionist at One Woodbrook Place informing her that there were police officers downstairs claiming that there was a disturbance at the his residence.
He said his wife informed the receptionist there was nothing untoward.
He said within five minutes the receptionist called again indicating that the officers were insisting they come to the residence to check on a disturbance that they claim had been reported to them.
He said he inquired from the receptionist where the officers were from, and was told they were from the Arima Police Station. He said he got three names, but the story changed as the officers said they’d come to drop off documents.
Mr. Duke, who is also Minority Leader in the Tobago House of Assembly, provided details relating to what he said was a troubling message he got on his Facebook page.
