Public Services Association President, Watson Duke has stated that he is not a thug and he is not holding the country to ransom.
He was responding to public outcry after the Immigration Office in Port of Spain was once again shut down due to health issues.
He insisted that the Public Servants were the victims in this situation.
Mr. Duke said while he understood the frustration of the public, they were directing their anger towards the wrong person.
An injunction was obtained by the Minister of Labour on Thursday to stop industrial action by the Immigration Workers.
However the PSA President claimed the shutting down of the offices was not a form of industrial action.
Mr. Duke said he intended to meet with National Security officials today but said he could not promise that shut downs would come to a halt.
