The Public Services Association is warning that the union will disrupt Carnival if issues affecting airport workers are not addressed before next week Friday.

Speaking with reporters at the Piarco International Airport, PSA President, Watson Duke, said cargo workers and immigration officers have concern about their job and financial security.

Mr. Duke warned that the public can expect some level of resistance if their concerns are not tackled with urgency.

The trade unionist said the PSA is asking for commitments given by the Finance Ministry on the implementation of the proposed Revenue Authority to be placed in writing and a Memorandum of Understanding signed off between both sides.

An investigation is still on-going into the absence of Immigration Officers from duty, at the airport late last year, a situation that led to a massive congestion as travelers arrived at the airport.
